Active & Outdoors

Summer like winter – in every season Bad Berleburg brings is visitors in motion. Especial hiking is the most favorite leisure in and around Bad Berleburg. The most famous “celebrity” among the many premium hiking paths is the Rothaarsteig with its main path leading off into smaller trails to allow you to explore our enchanting region. One of the most fabulous attractions is the WaldSkulpturenWeg (ForestSculptureWay) with his unique art in the midst of wonderful natural scenery.

For those who like to cycle, we have a real treat for you. A wonderful way to explore the Wittgensteiner forest. Especially the Ederradweg (Eder cycle path) with its winding trails can be recommended. Another challenging activity is the climbing rock Kapplerstein and its surrounding area. Playing the nine-hole golf course at the Golf Club Wittgensteiner Land with its panoramic views gives you the opportunity to enjoy the surrounding beautiful landscape at 585 metres above sea level.

During the winter months, Bad Berleburg and the surrounding areas offer various good winter sport activities incl. downhill skiing, cross-country-skiing, sledging and snowshoeing.
